Team Message
Hello Triple-P-Lacrosse Family,
I pray everyone had a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!! It’s time to really get our scholars into playing lacrosse. The after school sessions on the playground were just introductions. Now we’re playing with equipment and teaching plays. The season starts the last week in February with the first game on Saturday, March 2nd. As I said in our parent meeting this fall, we need to put our young men in the BEST position to be successful. To do this, we need to prepare them with skills to perform, just like we would for reading in school. We can achieve this by placing them in practices Saturday mornings from 10am-12pm in January and February at Forsyth Country Day School (5501 Shallowford Road, Lewisville 27023). We really need everyone present this week.
Logistics -
We have uniforms, cleats, helmets, shoulder pads and sticks, but we need more gloves and arm pads. Most of all we need $1,200 to pay for the team to enter the league. We’re asking each family to pay $100 towards this expense. We’re still seeking corporate sponsorships but we all can do our best. Since 2012, Triple-P-Lacrosse has worked to make this new opportunity a reality for all young men in our community. We can do it together now in 2019!
Conclusion -
Please bring your son to practice this Saturday from 10am-12pm, but plan to attend a parent meeting Saturday, January 26, 2019 at 12:10pm immediately after our practice. We need to verify practice days and transportation to games during the season. Practices are normally Monday and Thursday nights 6pm-7:30pm, starting on February 18th at Forsyth Country Day School, with games at various locations in the triad on Saturdays. We can talk about practice start times, carpooling and other logistics during the meeting.
Best regards,
